Correcting a blue color cast

Image with a blue cast

Photographs are sometimes afflicted with a blue color cast, depending on the exposure conditions.

To correct a blue color cast, use image editing software to decrease the intensity of blue or increase its complementary color, yellow. Yellow is made up of red and green, so in fact the image is adjusted by increasing red and green.

In Photoshop, Adjust from the Image menu and click "Color Balance." Select Preview and adjust the colors as required.
