Correcting a red color cast

Image with a red cast

Photographs are sometimes afflicted with a red color cast resulting from exposure.

To correct a red color cast, use image processing software to decrease the density of red or increase its complementary color, cyan. Cyan is made up of blue and green, so in fact the image is adjusted by increasing blue and green.

In Photoshop, select Adjust from the Image menu and click "Color Balance." Select Preview and adjust the colors as required.
