Notes
The son of an alderman, Tyrrell joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917. Assigned to 32 Squadron, he became an ace while flying the D.H.5.  In 1918, he scored 12 more victories while flying the S.E.5a. Returning from an offensive patrol 9 June 1918, he was killed when his aircraft was brought down by enemy machine gun fire from the trenches.
