Notes
Before transferring to the Royal Flying Corps, McQuiston served with the Royal Field Artillery. In June 1916, he was assigned to 12 Squadron to fly two-seaters but was wounded in action the following September. Reassigned to 55 Squadron in March 1917, he was wounded again in May while scoring his first victory. By the following year, he was flying Sopwith Dolphins with 19 Squadron, claiming nine more victories before the Armistice was signed.
