Babylon 5 see's the arrival of its new commanding officer, Captain John Sheridan, known by the Minbari as 'Starkiller', for destroying a Minbari war cruiser during the Earth-Minbari war. He must now avoid confrontation with a rouge Minbari war cruiser called the Tragati. Garibaldi remains critically ill in MedLab and Lennier is to reveal a long kept secret involving the transformation of Delenn and what really happened on the Battle of the Line. |
Sheridan's sister, Elizabeth, arrives on the station to try and help him come to terms with the death of his wife. Delenn emerges from her transformation and reveals her amazing new appearance. As Garibaldi remains in a coma, Dr. Franklin and Sheridan decide conventional medicine may not be enough to save him. G'Kar returns to Babylon 5 with news of the awakening of a feared ancient enemy, and Londo's alliance with the mysterious Morden grows stronger. |
Ivanova receives a promotion and is given the task of finding a peaceful end to the violence between two warring factions of the Drazi as they begin a ritual fight for superiority. The station sees the arrival of one hundred Techno-mages, a race that use science to achieve magic. Londo seeks an audience with them in an attempt to gain more influence with the Centauri Emperor and Garibaldi delays his return to work as he begins to doubt his ability as Security Chief on Babylon 5. |
The Explorer ship, Cortez, returns after two years out on the Rim and with it brings many stories of strange black ships that disappear in the blink of an eye. The Cortez leaves Babylon 5, but soon after entering hyperspace it loses power, and Sheridan must begin a dangerous rescue attempt. Never before has a ship been rescued from hyperspace. Meanwhile, Delenn's position within the Minbari comes under fire as many Minbari question her transformation. |
A one hundred year old exploration craft, know as the Copernicus, enters Babylon 5 space and is returned to the station. The vessel is found to be carrying two cryogenically frozen Humans, one woman, and one dead man. The woman is revived by Dr. Franklin and soon becomes a suspect for the man's murder. Meanwhile, Garibaldi befriends a lurker from Down Below who claims the ship has bought a deadly creature to the station. |
Talia Winters witnesses the murder of Taro Isogi, a man with a dream to end the violence on Mars. Further investigation reveals the killer to be Abel Horn, a prominent member of the 'Free Mars' movement who was reported to have died during the 2258 Mars rebellion. Sheridan begins to suspect that Abel Horn has been used in an experiment called 'Project Lazarus', one of Earth's cyber experiments, and now Garibaldi and his team must track him down before he can kill again. |
Bester returns to Babylon 5 on the trail of unregistered telepaths thought to be escaping through the station. The Psi Corps believes that the station houses an underground railroad, aiding their escape from the grip of the Corps. When Talia Winters is kidnapped by the rogue telepaths, she begins to question her future with the Psi Corps as they explain their reasons for escaping. Meanwhile, Delenn asks Sheridan to dinner in the hope of creating a greater understanding of Humans. |
As Londo prepares to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his ascension day he receives a gift from the Centauri Emperor. The Emperor has granted him permission to divorce two of his three wives, keeping only one to stand by his side for future state affairs. An accident involving a present at Londo's celebration party leaves the Centauri Ambassador in a life threatening condition in MedLab. Meanwhile, Delenn asks Ivanova for help in handling her Human characteristics. |
The Centauri Emperor visits Babylon 5 to give an important speech. G'Kar prepares to assassinate him in revenge for the many Narn deaths caused by his family, but fails as the Emperor falls ill. Londo makes the decision to declare war on the Narn by telling the Shadows to attack a Narn colony in quadrant 14. The Narn strike back and the fight begins. A stranger delivers a message to Garibaldi from an old friend, warning him of a great darkness that is coming. |
Babylon 5 sees the arrival of 25,000 Earth Force GROPOS known as Ground Pounders. At a briefing General Franklin, father of Dr. Franklin, reveals that his orders are to attack a rebel strong hold located a short jump from the station. The arrival of the troops also brings a new weapons upgrade for Babylon 5's defence grid. As the crew learns to live with the Earth Force troops, Ivanova advises Dr. Franklin to sort out his differences with his father while he has the chance. |
Following sightings of an unknown ship in Babylon 5 space, Sheridan heads up a group of StarFuries to investigate. When the four StarFuries come under attack and Sheridan is pulled aboard the craft, he is submitted to strange experiments. Meanwhile, Delenn is summoned to the Grey Council and loses her position to Neroon of the Warrior Caste. General Hague arrives at the station to see Sheridan and joins Ivanova in the rescue attempt. |
G'Kar asks both Sheridan and Delenn for military help in an attempt to stop the Centauri attacks. The tension increases after Zack is forced to shoot a Narn involved in a fight with a Centauri. G'Kar finds his position of Narn Ambassador under threat as he tries to stop the violence. Ivanova is given the important job of persuading the Lumati representatives to join the Earth Alliance at any cost, but she gets more than she bargained for. |
Earth Force Special Intelligence arrive on the station in pursuit of Dr. Everett Jacobs, an old friend of Dr. Franklin and one of the late President's Earth Dome personnel. Sheridan decides to help the Dr. when he discovers he has information that can help prove President Santiago was assassinated. Sheridan also meets with Kosh in an attempt to learn more about the Vorlons, but gets only cryptic answers in return, although the Vorlon reacts strongly when asked "What do you want?". |
As Sheridan pursues a thief who has stolen his Link, he finds himself caught in a fight with a Minbari. During the struggle, Sheridan shoots the Minbari dead and finds himself accused of murder. An unwanted lawyer joins the Captain in an attempt to avoid his trial and dismissal from head of the station. Meanwhile, Ivanova is given the job of looking into the validity of the Babylon 5 gift shop, and Vir learns he maybe replaced as Londo's assistant. |
Babylon 5 becomes the centre of attention as Interstellar News journalist Cynthia Torqueman hosts a behind the scenes look at the station's everyday life and operations. Throughout the 36 hour ISN Report the coverage includes a close look at a nearby Narn-Centauri conflict, as the two warring parties continue to fight for supremacy. As the fighting draws closer to home Babylon 5 is forced to defend itself from the Centauri. |
Sheridan decides to take a closer look at an area of the station known as the B5 Triangle, a mysterious area of Babylon 5 where strange occurrences have been reported. While in the area he discovers a dead alien that appears to strike out at him. After returning from the area he begins to experience strange visions and hallucinations. Also, Londo has a visit from an old friend called Urza Jaddo, Who asks the Centauri Ambassador for help in reinstating his family honor. |
Sheridan discovers Mr. Morden was aboard the Icarus exploration craft when it was mysteriously destroyed over Z'ha'dum with the loss of many archaeologists, including Sheridan's wife, Anna. The Captain begins to interrogate Morden in the hope of discovering why his wife and many others were killed, and becomes obsessed with finding the truth. As the interrogation continues he begins to defy station regulations as well as stern warnings from both Ivanova and Garibaldi. |
Dr. Franklin becomes concerned when a large number of Markabs aboard Babylon 5 begin to fall ill and die without an apparent cause. Upon further investigation he is informed by his Markab colleague, Lazarenn, that the deaths are result of a deadly virus that wiped out a remote Markab community centuries earlier. As Dr. Franklin continues to search for a cure to help avoid the Markabs' extinction, the death of a Pak'ma'ra raises questions about the safety of the other races aboard the station. |
Lyta Alexander, the station's first resident telepath and now a fugitive from the Psi Corps, arrives back on Babylon 5. Lyta informs the Captain that there may be a 'sleeper' spy within his crew. She claims that the spy has been implanted by the Psi Corps, with an alternative personality that can be activated with a telepathic password. Ivanova objects to the Captain's request to let Lyta scan her, and reveals a well hidden secret about herself. |
When the Centauri come into possession of Narn plans to attack one of their heavily guarded supply worlds, they begin to make plans to hit back with deadly force. Delenn and Sheridan are summoned by Draal to Epsilon 3, and once there are informed by him that they have the support of a powerful ally in the struggle that now lies ahead. Delenn also introduces Sheridan to an undercover army of light, known simply as, the Rangers. |
As G'Kar attempts to rally the Narns aboard Babylon 5 against their deadly conqueror, he once again finds his position of authority under question. Kosh orders Delenn to undergo a long and tortuous interrogation by a man know only as, Sebastian. The meeting is a test of willpower to prove her allegiance to both the Vorlons and to the Conspiracy of Light. When Lennier informs Sheridan that Delenn is in danger he decides to step in to help her, only to now find his own life in danger. |
Two representatives from Earth's, Ministry of Peace are sent to investigate further Centauri aggression as the Earth Alliance prepare to sign a non-aggression treaty with the Centauri. When Sheridan offers sanctuary to a Narn heavy cruiser, he finds his life and the safety of the station under threat. Kosh is forced to reveal a long kept secret, and Warren Keffer, leader of Zeta Squadron, makes an important discovery while in hyperspace that will cost him his life. |
