Character:

Commander Jeffrey David Sinclair

Race:

Human

Profile:

Jeffrey David Sinclair, born 3rd May 2218, joined EarthForce in 2237. He was promoted to fighter pilot in 2240 and soon after became Squad leader. In 2248 he was involved in the last stand against the Minbari, known as the Battle of the Line. During the fight many Humans died as the Minbari attacked Earth with deadly force. When Sinclair's StarFury was hit and partially disabled, he decided to ram a Minbari Cruiser. Before the impact he blacked out, only to awaken 24 hours later to find that the Minbari had withdrawn on the brink of victory.

Sinclair became Babylon 5's first Commander in 2256 when he was mysteriously selected from a long list of higher ranking EarthForce personnel by the Minbari. Sinclair has always respected the religious beliefs of others and at the end of 2259 he became Ambassador Sinclair. At this time he moved off the station and was permanently based on the Minbari Homeworld. From there he became Ranger 1 and, in secret, began to gather the Rangers together in preparation to fight the Shadows. In late 2260 he returned to Babylon 5 to embark on a joint mission to take Babylon 4 back in time. During the trip back with Babylon 4 he went through the same transformation as Delenn and became Valen, A highly respected religious Minbari leader.
