Tethys: impact craters and fault valleys PIA01399
Voyager 2 obtained this view of Saturn's moon Tethys on 25 August from a distance of 540,000 km.

It shows the numerous impact craters and fault valleys of a very ancient surface. Tethys itself is 1090 km in diameter, and the great chasm seen at at the top of this image extends 1700 km, halfway across the satellite. The largest impact crater visible here is 90 km in diameter.
