MILE HIGH HIGHLIGHTS

We're Denver bound! Mark Landon and Mark Shay of Studyabroad.com will be at the NAFSA annual conference at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver next week and we hope to see you there. This will be our fourth year exhibiting at the NAFSA conference, an annual event which is always exciting for us.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, NAFSA is the Association of International Educators. Based in Washington, DC, NAFSA has sections on Admissions, English as a Second Language, Foreign Student Advising, Community, and Study Abroad. NAFSA is made up of more than 7,000 individuals from 50 US states and from 60 countries. More information about NAFSA and its annual conference can be found at http://www.nafsa.org/

If you will be at the conference, please stop by and see us at Booth #926 on the exhibit floor. We have lots in store for you:

THE ADVERTISER'S PERSPECTIVE: RESULTS ARE WHAT COUNTS

Studyabroad.com is many things to many people. For college students we are an easy to find and easy to use resource for locating, evaluating, and contacting study abroad programs. For study abroad advisors we are a trusted starting point to refer advisees to.

For our advertisers we offer a steady source of prospective students. During this spring semester, Studyabroad.com had an average of 118,000 visits per month from 62,741 unique hosts (computer networks). This is an average of 3933 'surfing sessions' each and every day! Not only are students browsing information on our site, but they are clicking links to advertiser sites, and they are sending email to find out even more. These are serious shoppers!

Recent statistics show that in the average month 2,408 users send a total of 24,072 'Free Listing' inquiries from the Studyabroad.com Free Listing Inquiry Form. This does not count email sent to the dozens of advertisers who bypass the Free Listing Inquiry Form to have inquiries directed through their own customized form. Nor does it count the inquiries which are generated once a student clicks through to our advertisers' web sites.

We have just recently begun monitoring click-throughs to advertiser websites. Based on the early data, we estimate that each month more than 98,000 clicks are generated from our site to our advertisers. This breaks down to about 1.5 clicks per day per advertiser link.

Most importantly, these links are from students who know what they are looking for, and are already interested in studying abroad with a program in the country where the advertiser goes or in an academic area offered by the advertiser. The result is good, strong leads.

Here are a couple of recent quotes from advertisers:

"I would like to thank you for the very fine job you are doing managing studyabroad.com. Certainly 50% of all our queries are now coming directly from your page. Your interface is excellent allowing us very easy follow-up."

"It has been VERY USEFUL to have this service and we NEED to renew. Please send us the necessary paperwork and we will be happy forward payment. FYI, this has helped our recruiting efforts tremendously and have received countless enquiries this past year through studyabroad.com."

"Of course, we cannot stand still. We are constantly moving forward, working to make the site more useful for students, and more productive for advertisers. In the months to come we will be sub-dividing some of our larger directories, making program information easier for students to locate. We will be hiring a full-time marketing manager to oversee our marketing campaigns, which will include an investment in search engine banners. In short, we will continue to do whatever it takes to maintain our position as the most powerful, most effective and most useful online source of study abroad information."
