VANCOUVER BOUND

Mark Landon of studyabroad.com looks forward to meeting you at the 49th Annual NAFSA conference in Vancouver next week. This year Mark will be joined by sales associate Scott Taback.

We will have a computer set up on the exhibit floor and we will be demonstrating both the studyabroad.com and gradschools.com web sites. In addition we will be answering questions about our services and the web in general. Plus we'll be giving away a studyabroad.com golf shirt!

Study Abroad Advisors are encouraged to stop by and sign up to order our free Advisor's Kit, which consists of the following:

Advisor's Kits will be shipped directly to the advisors' offices in early August.

If you will be in Vancouver for the conference, please stop by and say Hi. We'll be at booth number 1217.

FULL BANNER ADVERTISING

Our new media kit is now available both in hard copy and on-line. We are now offering Full Banner advertising on our directory pages and menu pages. Full banner ads are available on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and can also be bought in combination with Liberty City's other site, Gradschools.com.

Another new service offering is the "Your Domain" service. We are now prepared to help you design and serve your web site with your own domain name; i.e. www.yourname.com (or .org or .edu).

You can read about all of our advertising options in the new media kit. It is available on-line at http://www.studyabroad.com/media_kit or if you prefer, we can mail or fax a copy to you; just let us know.

INQUIRY DISTRIBUTION LIST

For the past two months, we have been serving our General Inquiry Distribution List on a weekly basis. This e-mail distribution list is a compilation of the general inquiries received by studyabroad.com from individuals looking for information regarding study abroad and language programs. There have been about 10 inquiries per week so far. The inquiries cover a wide range of interests, including U.S. students looking for programs abroad and students outside of the U.S. looking for programs in the States. Sometimes the inquires are general and sometimes quite specific.

Those who subscribe to the list have the opportunity to help prospective students in need of information, as well as to potentially recruit students for their own programs. We do this as a service to our users.

If you are interested in receiving this distribution list, you simply need to send e-mail to webmaster@studyabroad.com, with "subscribe" as the subject. There is no fee for receiving this distribution, nor are you required to be a studyabroad.com advertiser.

"SEARCH BY SUBJECT" ENHANCEMENTS

Its been about a year since we first started offering students the "search by subject" option. This section has been extremely popular with prospective students and we are in the midst of overhauling this section. The re-working of the search by subject area will be an on-going project, and will consist of breaking subject areas down to make them more useful.

We have already broken down many of the topics into geographic sub-directories to make them more useful. In other words, a student can now search for a program offering Art History, and narrow his/her search to programs in Europe.

In addition to breaking down topics geographically, we are interested in providing some more specific subject headings. You can review the subject headings we now offer by going to our "Listing Form" at http://www.studyabroad.com/update

This form now also allows you to suggest additional headings. We welcome your suggestions and encourage you to resubmit your listings with these new categories.
