MARKETING PLAN

Official student rollout has been announced for 11/1/95.

Studyabroad.com will have a student oriented contest beginning 11/1 and running until the end of the year. Grand prize is a round trip anywhere in the world with British Airways. Other prizes include a 2-month Eurobus pass, magazine subscriptions and studyabroad.com mouse pads. A contest page will be linked from the home page. Students complete an entry blank which also offers them selections on receiving program information for chosen countries. Leads will be available to studyabroad.com customers.

On October 18, over 900 college newspapers received a fax broadcast of this contest in the hopes they will give us "free press". We have already seen several hits from college papers, hopefully leading to printed stories.

Beginning October 16, over 2000 posters were shipped to professional campus representatives who will place them on school provided general purpose bulletin boards. The posters feature our logo, our address and "If you are interested in study abroad, you will be interested in studyabroad.com! The On-line source for studyabroad information". Another wave of posters will be distributed in early January.

We have hired a "designated surfer" who will browse the Internet seeking new free listings for academic programs. He will also work to increase our exposure on the web. We are now listed on Yahoo!, Infoseek, Webcrawler, Lycos, Aliweb and most of the "search engines" on the Internet. Efforts continue to find more directories and establish links from them.

TRAFFIC VOLUME

Due to the inclusion in most major search engines traffic has been increasing steadily. For the entire month of September we served 2115 page requests. For the week ending 10/6/95 studyabroad.com served 2181 page requests, week ending 10/13/95 - 3113 requests. Well over 4,000 page requests are anticipated this week, and with the beginning of our student marketing campaign, we are expect this number to skyrocket. We have the ability to identify the users system id, and have noticed student inquiries for dozens of schools across the country.

LANGUAGE AND SUMMER PROGRAMS

Increased interest from language immersion program and summer session providers has lead us to develop two new sections of our database. These programs are linked by a hot button on the appropriate search-by-country page. A similar structure will soon be developed for EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS (internships, work, Au Pair and volunteer programs. Free listings are available for each catagory as they are for academic programs

FORUM IS OPEN TO ALL

The Forum section of studyabroad.com offers a moderated place to submit news releases and feature articles. This is an excellent place to get added publicity for your programs. All we ask is that the submissions be either NEWS or FEATURE oriented. Submit these via e-mail to webmaster@studyabroad.com. Place Forum-News or Forum-Feature in the subject field.

PRICE RESTRUCTURING

Customer feedback has lead us to redesign the pricing policy for studyabroad.com. There are no more usage charges, period. Purchase one listing per country.

Simple Listings are $120 per year and include e-mail addresses and the browser mailto: function

Standard Listings (direct links to your website) have dropped to $180 each and offer a page of text as an option.

Graphic listings $1000 per year, $200 per additional country. Includes free e-mail processing - a mini website

Master Listings $5000 offer a website-within-a-website. Inclusion on system home page, custom inquiry forms, publishable internet addresses.

Volume discounts apply for all services except Master Level (all inclusive). 10% off 2, 20% off 3, 30% off 4, 40% off five and 50% off 6 or more. Maximum levels (ceilings) are offered as well.
