To make a selection with the mouse

• Point to where the selection is to begin, then
  1. Hold down the left mouse button.

  2. Drag the pointer to where you want the selection to end.

  3. Release the button.

  or

  1. Move the pointer to where you want the selection to end.

  2. Press Shift.

  3. Click the mouse.
