  1. Enter the operator.

  2. Enter a subscript or superscript.

  3. Enter the first line of the limit.

  4. With the insertion point at the end of the limit, press Enter.

  5. Enter the next line of the limit.

  6. Press the right arrow or the spacebar to leave the limit.

You can edit multiline limits the same way you edit column vectorsVectors.tex.

By default, limits in in-line mathematicsGlossary.tex#in-line mathematics are set to the right in a small-size font, and limits in displayed mathematicsGlossary.tex#displayed mathematics are set above and below in a full-size font. Limits for integral operators are an exception; they are always set to the right in a small-size font. You can override the default when you enter or revise an operator or function by changing the limit positionLimit_position.tex and the sizeSize.tex.
