Troubleshooting
If you have any communication problems in transferring the file onto your
computer, check the following:
- Make sure the cable is connected to the correct serial port on your
computer.
- Make sure both connectors on the cable are firmly connected.
- Make sure you have selected the correct serial port (COM1, COM2,
COM3, or COM4) in the terminal program. Reminder: this will NOT be the
serial port to which the modem is connected, so will very likely need to be
changed for any general-purpose communication program.
