General Instructions for Importing Data

These instructions are for importing data with any general terminal program.

1. Connect the calculator to the computer with the cable.

2. Start the terminal program to be used.

3. With the calculator
   1. Choose &lsqb#lbrack;Grn Arrow&rsqb#rbrack;&lsqb#lbrack;I/O&rsqb#rbrack;.

   2. Select Transfer from the list.

   3. When the display shows the current options, select those needed by your terminal program.

   4. For Name, enter the variable that you wish to transfer.

   5. Press Send to initiate transfer.

4. In the program, receive the file from the calculator. Consult the specific documentation for this software for more details.

5. The file should then be renamed to have an .TXT extension.

6. Use Scientific Notebook to read the ASCII text file into a document.
