Accent Font Mapping

Wherever possible, Scientific Notebook uses combination characters to display accents. For example, the character ΓΌ is available as a single combination character. In many cases, combination characters do not exist, so Scientific Notebook must accent these characters by displaying a separate accent character in the appropriate position. When the Use Accent Font Mapping box is checked, these separate accent characters are taken from the custom font. This is because some Windows fonts do not contain these accents, and in particular, the fonts supplied with Japanese Windows 95 are lacking the accents. If you are not using Japanese Windows 95, you will obtain better looking accents (the accents will match the character style better) if you uncheck this box.
