To take an online exam

1. In Scientific Notebook, open the .qiz file for the exam.

   The Exam Builder generates an instance of the exam.

2. Complete the exam according to the instructions.

3. Click the Submit button to submit the answers to multiple-choice questions for immediate grading.

   The Exam Builder compares the submitted answers to those in the answer file, and displays the results. If the source file specifies a point value for each question, the results are stated in terms of points obtained. Otherwise, the results are stated in terms of number of correct and incorrect answers.

4. Click the Solutions button to open the file containing the explanations of each question.
