Plot Coordinates Dialog Bar

Double-click a plot and click the itbpF0.3105in0.3208in0.0701inplotxy.wmf tool. A dialog bar will appear on your screen that displays the rectangular coordinates of the mouse cursor whenever the plot is selected and the mouse cursor is over the plot area. Check Polar on the Plot Coordinates Dialog Bar to see polar coordinates of points at the cursor.

  1. Select the itbpF0.3105in0.3208in0.0701inplotxy.wmf tool.

  2. Click on points in the graph.

The rectangular coordinates of each points that you click will appear in the box on the dialog bar.dtbpF430.4375pt223.75pt0ptFigure

$\blacktriangleright$ To create a matrix of coordinates

  1. Click on the coordinate pairs you want in the matrix, to select them.

  2. Place the insertion point at the position where you want the matrix.

  3. From the Plot Coordinates Dialog Bar, choose Paste.

$\blacktriangleright$ To plot selected points in a polygonal plot

If you wish to plot only the points, first create the polygonal plot as described above. Then select the plot, go to the Plot Components page of the Plot Properties dialog, and change Plot Style to Point.

$\blacktriangleright$ To remove a coordinate pair from the Plot Coordinates Dialog Box

  1. Click on the coordinate pairs you want to remove, to select them.

  2. From the Plot Coordinates Dialog Bar, choose Remove.
