Default Options For Plots

The first attempt at a plot uses the default parameters that are set on the Plot Options, Plot Intervals, and Plot Frame pages of the Maple Settings dialog.

To set defaults for Plot Options settings

1. From the Maple menu, choose Settings.

2. Click the Plot Options tab.
   • Change 2D Plot Attributes for Axes Type, Thickness, Line Color, or Plot Style by checking the appropriate box or making an appropriate selection from a list.

   • Change 3D Plot Attributes for Axes Type, Plot Style, or Shading by making appropriate selections from lists.

   • Check Display Plot Properties Dialog Before Plotting if you wish to set plotting options each time you make a plot, rather than using default settings.

3. Choose OK.

To set defaults for Plot Intervals

1. From the Maple menu, choose Settings.

2. Click the Plot Intervals tab.

3. Check 2D or 3D, and then choose a Plot Type.

4. For that plot type, set default Coordinates and Sample Size.

5. Choose OK.

To set defaults for Plot Frame settings

1. From the Maple menu, choose Settings.

2. Click the Plot Frame tab.
   • Change Model Screen Attributes by checking the appropriate box.

   • Change Miscellaneous, Placement, and Baseline Default Settings for New Plots by checking appropriate boxes.

   • Change Size Default Settings for New Plots by setting appropriate dimensions.

3. Choose OK.
