Removing a Definition

You can remove from a document a definition that you created with Define + New Definition (or an assumption that you have created with $\func$ assume) in any of the following ways.

Select the defining equation, or select the name of the defined expression or function, and from the Define submenu choose Undefine.
From the Define submenu, choose Clear Definitions (to cancel all definitions displayed under Show Definitions that were created with Define + New Definition).
Make another definition with the same name.
On the Definition Options page of Maple Settings, check Do Not Save. Close the document. (See the next section, Saving and Restoring Definitions, for more detail on this option.)

For the first option, you can select the equation or name by placing the insertion point within or on the right side of the equation or name that you wish to remove, or you can select the entire equation, expression, or function name by using the mouse. You can copy the defining equation from the list of definitions in the Show Definitions window and paste it into the document if you do not have a copy readily at hand.
