To restore the state of read only documents the next time you start the program

1. From the Tools menu, choose User Setup.

2. Choose the General tab.

3. In the State Restoration area, check Save State Information.

4. Check the boxes for the information you want to save. The check boxes work in combination:

   If you check	When you next start Scientific Notebook, the program
   Save State Information,	Reopens each read only document that was open when you
   Save Document Information	last exited the program and
   & Save View Information	1. displays the part of each document that was displayed when you exited
   	2. places and sizes the document windows in the same way
   	3. displays each document using the magnification previously in effect
   Save State Information	Reopens each read only document that was open when you
   & Save Document Information	last exited the program and displays the part of each
   	document that was displayed when you exited
   Save State Information	Reopens the read only document that was active when you
   	last exited the program and displays the part of it that was
   	displayed at the time
   Save State Information	Reopens the read only document that was active when you
   & Save View Information	last exited the program and
   	1. displays the part of it that was displayed at the time
   	2. displays the document using the magnification previously in effect

5. Choose OK.
