Document Appearance on Screen and in Print

The appearance of your document depends on the styleStyle.tex you choose. The appearance of tagged information depends on the type face, style, size, and color assigned to the tag by the style. The appearance also depends on any special spacing and alignment specifications for the tag.

The appearance of a document may differ on the screen and in print. For example, on screen, Scientific Notebook

• breaks lines to fit the current size of the document window rather than the specified size of the printed page.

• doesn't indicate automatic page breaks.

• displays your document in color.

When you previewPreview.tex your document, the program uses the default print options or the print optionsPrint_options.tex you specify to display the document as it will appear in print.
