Documents saved for Quick Load open much faster than an ordinary document file saved with a .tex file extension. A Quick Load document is a special form of the document file. It carries a .cdx file extension and ordinarily requires two or three times the storage space of the document file. Saving a document for Quick Load is useful for very large document files.
