Paste Special

Use Paste Special to specify the format in which text on the clipboard is pasted into your document. You can specify that text is to be pasted as Internal format, in which case the program does not attempt to interpret it. The Paste Special command is useful for inserting information copied from a line editor so that it appears in your document with the line breaks as they appear in the line editor. Font specifications made in other applications are not preserved.
