The program automatically recognizes a special set of multicharacter names, including many common mathematical functions, as you type them. The recognized names are listed in the Automatic SubstitutionAuto_sub.tex dialog box.
The program recognizes the functions when the insertion point is in mathematics and the Disable automatic substitution checkbox in the Automatic Substitution dialog box is unchecked.
