By default, limits in in-line mathematicsInline_math.tex are set to the right of the operator or function, and limits in displayed mathematicsDisplayed_math.tex are set above and below. Limits for integral operators are an exception; they are always set to the right.
You can override the default when you enter or edit the propertiesProperties.tex of an operatorOperators.tex or functionMath_names.tex by changing the Limit Position to Above/Below or At Right. We recommend the AutoAuto.tex default setting whenever possible.
