A fragment is a portion of a paragraph that has been saved for later recall.
You can paste a previously saved fragment into the current document, or you can save a portion of a paragraph in the current document as a new fragment. Fragments are handy for saving frequently used expressions or equations. A fragment saved in one document is available to all documents.
You can import a fragment into the current document with the keyboard, the mouse, or, if the fragment name contains at least two characters, a keyboard shortcut. When you import a fragment, its contents are pasted into your document at the insertion pointGlossary.tex#insertion point.
