To enter a vertical fraction

1. Place the insertion point anywhere you want the fraction to be, even in an existing input boxGlossary.tex#input box.

2. Insert a fraction:
   • ClickitbpF22.4375pt21.0625pt2ptfraction.wmf, or from the Insert menu, choose Fraction

     or

   • Press the keyboard shortcutKeyboard_shortcuts.tex for entering a fraction.

   The program places an empty fraction at the insertion point and places the insertion point in the input box for the numerator.

3. Type the numerator.

4. Move to the denominator by pressing the down arrow or the Tab key, or by clicking on the denominator input box.

5. Type the denominator.

6. Press the right arrow or the spacebar to leave the fraction.
