Scientific Notebook automatically sizes and positions your in-line and displayed mathematics.
In in-line mathematicsInline_math.tex, the numerators and denominators of fractions are set in a small-size font. Limits are also set in a small-size font and placed to the right of functions and operators.
In displayed mathematicsDisplayed_math.tex, the numerators and denominators of fractions are set in a full-size font. Limits are also set in a full-size font and placed over and under functions and operators. Operators are set in a larger font than that used for in-line mathematics.
Although you can override the Auto defaults for a function, fraction or operator, we recommend that you use the Auto defaults whenever possible.
