This version of the software includes the following changes that have been incorporated since the release of Scientific Notebook (build 844).

  1. New Document Manager.

  2. Improvement to memory usage when loading or importing a document.

  3. New unitofnt.efn to fix the character mapping for Japanese Windows.

  4. Increased error checking for the HP and TI calculator filters.

  5. Resolution of error caused by pasting 256K color graphics.

  6. Resolution of error caused by clicking on plots of certain expressions.

  7. Resolution of error caused by switching views on a document containing a plot or graphic.

  8. Changes to allow spaces in directory names for the Document Manager and RTF to LaTeX Converter programs.

  9. Changes to set the default file type for opening or importing files to LaTeX (*.tex).

  10. Reversal of the positions of the Open and Cancel buttons in the Open Location dialog.

  11. Editorial corrections to the Help Search dialog.

  12. Addition of status bar descriptions for the View + Refresh and Tag + Appearance menu items.

  13. Removal of repeat entries in the topics section of the Help Search dialog with corrected copies of index.tex and dmindex.tex in the Help directory and Reference_index.tex in the Reference directory.

  14. Corrections to graphics references, view settings, hypertext links, and graphics save options for files in the Examples, Play, Reference, and Help directories.

  15. Editorial changes to algebra files in the Reference/Mathematics directory.

  16. Addition of two new files:

    1. Reference/Mathematics/GE04_05.tex, describing the history of pi,

    2. Examples/Laplace_transforms.tex.

  17. Removal of the Extras/Resources directory.

  18. Resolution of error in displaying units of defined quantities in theDefined dialog.

  19. Removal of the Help button from the Exam Builder application.

  20. Changes to allow the program to run without the presence of internet .dlls.

  21. Changes to allow the Presentations directory to be copied to the hard drive for each installation type.

  22. Inclusion of a new hypertext link in Help, Contents to make the Welcome.tex document more readily accessible.

  23. Resolution of error caused by specifying a URL with an extension other than .tex.
