This is how to mail fake mail withought being traced:

Telnet into a shell account- either hacked or anonymous- unless the 
SMTP you are going to telnet to in the end has no identd.
Then telnet into another (optional extra security)
and another - more security - the last two steps optional.


Decide where you want to send the mail from - assume irc.epix.net

Follow these lines exactly: (Typed in at shell prompt)

telnet epix.net 25   (Some shells use: telnet epix.net:25)
helo <fake domain>
mail from: fake@email.address
rcpt to: lamer@Iwanna.kill.you
data
subject: this is the subject
this is the rest of the e.mail.  
.    ( . on a single line means send)

there you have it- fake e.mail that is almost impossible to trace.
