Folders such as Recycle Bin, Favorites and Internet History primarily represent different user services rather than disk storage. They are often termed Shell Folders and usually have an icon different from the ordinary folder icon.

When a Shell Folder is located within an ordinary disk, there's an option to browse the folder as ordinary disk storage rather than as a user service. This option is available from the Settings menu, item Browsers, group Shell Folder OLE Browsing, item Disable shell folders in fixed drives.
