Did You Know...
Usually when using Probe to select
files across many folders, we don't want the selection process to look inside Zip archives, FTP connections, ...etc.
Such storage type boundaries are termed VDrives in Probe.
In the situations where one want Probe to cross storage type boundaries during the
selection process, one has to use the setting Recurse into VDrives.
1 - stop the recursion - This setting causes the selection
process not to look within VDrives. It is the default.
2 - enter one VDrive level - With this setting, the
selection process will enter for example a Zip archive, but
if it encounters another archive within the Zip archive, it will not enter.
3 - perform full recursion - This setting cause the
selection process to go into all compressed archives, remote connections, ...etc, during
the selection process. This can potentially be very time consuming.
