Using the ActiveMovie ControlThe ActiveMovie™ Control enables you to add movies and sound to your applications and Web pages. You can play back multimedia files that are in formats such as MPEG, AVI, WAV, and MOV, among others. Microsoft® Internet Explorer and the DirectShow SDK include the ActiveMovie Control. The DirectShow SDK provides background information about DirectShow's capabilities and architecture beyond the information provided in this section.
