Managing User Settings

After the user options are set and the browser is distributed, administrators can still manage these options. By storing a master .ins file on the server and downloading it with each logon, administrators can adjust user option settings on an ongoing basis. By tieing into existing logon scripts, administrators can manage and regularly update user settings from a centralized server.

Using the IEAK Profile Manager, you can easily administer configuration files. The IEAK Profile Manager lets you open any .ins file and make changes to settings, such as Proxy, Start and Search pages, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) information.

After installation, administrators can remotely manage all allowed publisher (and site) certificates by adding or removing new certificates from the allowed list.
