Changes in Version 1.4 ====================== A shareware version has been added. This may be freely distributed. HF Beacons have been added. Changes in Version 1.3 ====================== repeater 080794: Now looks in other areas. For example looking for G8ZWD or GJ8ZWD will now find GW8ZWD. Also works with novices. Many UK BBSs and German repeaters have been added. Let us know if we've missed any. The colours used in the VGA palette can now be changed. Look at the cb.ini file for details. Many abbreviations such as "MIDDX" have been replaced to remove confusion in address searches. Let us know if you notice any we've missed. A version for Windows 3.1 (Enhanced Mode) is now available. Hyphens are now ignored in address searches. Berwick, for example, now also matches both "Berwick-Upon-Tweed" and "Berwick Upon Tweed". repeater 230694: Now displays WAB book number. repeater 220694: Search by surname has been added due to popular demand. However a few users may not have large enough discs to take this data. To delete the data used by the address and surname searches remove the files keywords.d01, keywords.d02 and keywords.k01. This will save you around 10Mb. Do not delete keywords.dbd. Changes in Version 1.2 ====================== The search for alternatives has proven to be too slow on many older machines and so has been removed for the callbook section, however it remains in the other sections where the database isn't so large. The F9 searches now support partial matches. If you search by the address "ASH" you will only find matches such as "ASH GROVE", however if you search by "ASH*" you will also match "ASHFORD". The first character has been removed from the first line of the address files reducing the disc requirements by around 30K. Entering the F8 key in the repeater screen displays all repeaters with the same frequency as the current repeater. repeater 220594: Now displays repeater channel e.g. R3 for 145.675 Changes in Version 1.1 ====================== beacons 020594: If you "search for alternatives" the word (null) appeared in the right hand column of the picklist instead of the locator. On some machines large address searches (e.g. looking for all stations in Yorkshire) can be slow, the search can now be interrupted by typing any key. However, some work has been done on speeding this up. callbook 050594: The search key now matches a sub-list of stations which you can navigate with the F1/F2/HOME/END keys. Search for alternatives: This feature allows you to look up a station who's call sign you're not sure about, however since it scans the whole database this can be slow on some machines. Don't forget to fill in your registration, we can't support you without it. 73s DE G0LOV ES G4LUE.
