****************************************************************************** For instructions on how to play DBQuest, please read the DBQUEST.TXT file. For a quick start, read the QWKSTART.TXT file. To help me make better games, please answer the questions at the end of the README.TXT file and e-mail me the answers! ****************************************************************************** This file is a history of revisions for DBQuest by Futuristic Idea Studios. You can obtain the latest copy of DBQuest and future games by Futuristic Idea Studios at our web page: http://www.cris.com/~lostdrgn/index.html RELEASE DATE PROBLEM AND/OR ENHANCEMENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 DEC 18 First release. 1.1 DEC 20 Improved Documentation. Added a revision history and a quick start guide. Improved the artwork. Also fixed a minor problem, and revised some text and character interaction sequences. 1.2 FEB 5, 1994 Did a graphical overhaul. Fixed a minor problem with the objects, and another minor problem with the portal guardian. I rewrote some portions of the *.txt files and added N_FUTURE.TXT. I also fixed the bug that allowed players to bribe some guards with $0! 1.2B OCT 14, 1995 I was privileged to be one of the beta-testers for DCGames version 4. At the same time, I was able to procure my "own" FTP site. This re-release of the original game is intended to make DBQuest available to more people. The game engine, graphics and sound remain the same as in version 1.2. Only the documentation has changed to reflect my new internet e-mail address (a few typos were also corrected). I hope that this re-release will generate some excitement for the up and coming DBQuest Two! DBQuest 2 will take full advantage of the latest DCGames engine & compiler, while the current game (DBQuest 1) will be left on the older DCGames engine (version 3.0x). 1.2C MAY 19, 1996 I am feverishly working on DBQuest 2. It has now been ported to Watcom C, so I will have a large amount of memory available. At this point, all artwork is finished and I am attempting to find a professional musician (who will work for my price ;). Hopefully, DBQuest 2 will be ready for a Christmas 96 release (or sooner). This version is exactly the same as 1.2B, except that is has my new e-mail and web page address. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Futuristic Idea Studios, DBQuest, and The present is the history of the future are TRADEMARKS of DeBray Bailey DBQuest is (C) COPYRIGHT 1993 by DeBray Bailey WITH ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
