› o=o=o=o=o=›› MINUTES OF THE MARCH 1997 MEETING›› GENERAL MEETING:› PAT MULVEY opened this, the first› joint meeting of OHAUG and LIAUG with› a brief statement of purpose and› agenda, and a rough schedule of› future joint meetings. After the› LIAUG general meeting, we welcomed› members of LIAUG who joined with us› today as follows: DIANE MULVEY, GUS› ROTALO, HAROLD JAGENDORF, and MARK› GLICKSMAN who is also president of› NEAR*US. We also had visitors as› follows: KEITA IIDA, GEORGE GABLE,› and BARBARA J. KELLER who is the› recording secretary for OHAUG. We› have dedicated this meeting to the› memory of ALEX PIGNATO and we had a› dinner February 14 at Lambrau's which› was well attended and everyone› enjoyed themselves with winning› tickets for gifts given at the end of› the dinner. First prize was a› Valentine box of chocolates won by› Dorothy Keller (the Club secretary's› daughter)who was there with her› fiance. › CORRESPONDENCE:›› JACK GEDALIUS read a nice card from› MARIE PIGNATO thanking the Club› Members for such a nice evening at› the Club Dinner.›› RON FETZER has correspondence from a› member who wants advice on two› interconnect systems.›› JACK got a note from JOHN POWELL› who's looking for all issues of Antic› and Analog Magazines which we can› ship COD; he also wants the BLACK BOX› and wants to get in touch which the› man who made SPARTADOS. He also› wants a STAR NX1020 printer. He› recently married a girl named Maryann› and now lives in Dallas, TX.›› AL SHARKIS received a note from BEN› POEHLAND saying he's cleaning out the› rest of his equipment.›› PAT MULVEY sees JIM HARRIS weekly and› says he likes Massachusetts. › › POT POURRI:›› On April 19 we will have our next› meeting at JACK GEDALIUS home at 1 PM › instead of at the Library. ›› On April 26 & 27 the Trenton Show› will be held in Jersey. It's the› biggest computer show on the east› coast at the campus of MERCER› COMMUNITY COLLEGE with a flea market› and classes, one ticket covers both› days; they take over the whole› college.›› RON FETZER had a call from MAL› JARDENE offering to sell an 800 and› an 810 disk drive if anyone is› interested.›› AL SHARKIS informed the members that› when you play EMPIRE from the next› Newsletter you must first copy it› onto another disk. It's a great› game.›› A brief note, MARK GLICKSMAN spoke› with PAT about a site they found on› the web that will give us a WEB page,› there's an offering for a free WEB› page (WWW.GEOCITIES.COM) He also› wants to bring NEAR*US onto the WEB.›› JACK announced there are magazines› and products for sale at this meeting› if anyone's interested.›› TREASURER'S REPORT:›› At this date we are in the black.›› DEMONSTRATIONS:›› RON FETZER showed the first demo,the› AEP 8 bit Trace Logic Analyzer (for› Pat because it has demos that blow› you out of your mind) by PAUL ALHART. › He gives you an interface for your› computer. He gives you all the parts› and you can print it out on your› computer.On the other side is called› Star Stuffer and Default Rider which› sets defaults. The Star Stuffer› loads fonts in your printer. It has› special fonts. ›› The next demo was similar to PacMan. › Then we demod speeches by SAM such› as, Shakespeare, The Gettysburg› Address, The Pledge of Allegiance;› SAM can translate also. It also› plays the song Daisy, Daisy and sings› it at different speeds. We all› enjoyed singing along a bit.
