› o=o=o=o=o=›› PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE› by JACK GEDALIUS›› Mar.--Apr., 1997›› Our club received library disks from› the Suburban Chicago Atarians Group. › They appear to have some great› programs.›› RON FETZER demonstrated his disk› hole-puncher. He took an ordinary› disk hole-puncher and mounted it on› top of a coffee can in order to› collect the debris. In order to make› it easier, he added with linkage› about a one foot long piece of wood› to give it greater leverage. This is› a super hole-puncher which Tim from› "Home Improvement" could use. › Everyone was fascinated with Ron's› invention.›› Ron also demonstrated an Abbuc disk› #47 which showed how to correct the› Sparta cartridge and also MyDos. He› also demonstrated Draper Pascal which› is a structured programming language.› Another one of Ron's demos was Ultra› Tetris.›› AL SHARKIS showed us a program which› was a double pong game. Another one› was Brik-Bat which was very› enjoyable. These programs came from› the Atari club at San Leandro,› California. He also demoed a game› called Pipe Line which is a great› program for plumbers (Ha, Ha!)›› You all know our great door prize› winner, HARRY TUTHILL, who always is› successful. Well it happened again! › Harry and yours truly attended a› meeting at the Marriott in Melville› recently conducted by Adriane Berg. › Harry submitted our tickets for the› drawing. Guess what? Harry's name› was the first one called and he won a› book written by Mrs. Berg. I won a› year's subscription to her› newsletter. What a great knack our› beloved member has!›› We are having our annual Ol'Hacker's› dinner at Lambrou's on February 14th,› Valentine's Day.››› Bye for now,›› JACK GEDALIUS›› o=o=o=o=o=››››
