FINGERS.BAS›› So you  want   your  computer  to  do› everything automatically? This is the› program for you. This program  writes› an  AUTORUN.SYS file (A  BATCH   file› in P.C.   speak)  that  automatically› does  all  DOS  functions without you› doing anything.›› Suppose   you   want   to   do    the› following:›› 1. Go to DOS› 2. Format a disk SD in Dr. #2› 3. Copy RAMDISK.COM to the disk› 4. Go to BASIC when finished.›› Have  a  formatted  disk with DOS and› RAMDISK.COM handy. This  will  become› your MASTER DISK.›› Press   the   RESET   KEY   and   RUN› "D:FINGERS.BAS"   file    from    the› Newsletter  Disk. Remove the N/L disk› and put in your  master  disk  in  DR› #1.›› You  must  tell the program what keys› or DOS instructions it is to do.  For› the example above:››   DOS       Press RETURN(Get DOS)›   P         "     "     (Format Sgl)›   2         "     "    (Drive to Fmt)›   Y         "     "     ("Y" to Fmt)›   C         "     "      (Copy file)›   RAMDISK.COM,D2:RAMDISK.COM - RETURN›   Y         "     "   (Start copying)›   B         "        "  (RUN CARTDG.)›› These  are  the  DOS  functions   the› program is to do.›› To activate the program:››   1) Press CNTL & 3›   2) PRESS "D" for disk›   3) APPEND?Press RETURN(No  append)›   4) LOAD ADDRESS?Press RETURN  (Load›                   Address  is   O.K.)›   5) PATCH ADDRESS?Press RETURN(Patch›                    Address O.K.)     ›   6) SPEED 1 Press RETURN(#1  O.K)›› You will now have an AUTORUM.SYS file› that    will    do    these    things› automatically  for  you. This is your› MASTER DISK. Put a blank disk in DR 2› Start   your   computer.   See    how› everything  is   done  in  DR  #2.
