› PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE› by Jack Gedalius›› November--December, 1999››› At our November meeting we all worked› on how to work the newsletter now› that Al Sharkis is stepping down from› his role as editor. We will all miss› his expertise and dedication for his› many years of service.›› Al opened his home to us for the› December meeting. There, we had a› delicious lunch. ›› Then, we filed upstairs to his› magnificent computer room. On his› PC, Al demonstrated an Atari emulator› by playing the classic Chicken Game. › We then saw a SIO2PC cable connection› in action when Al transferred a› section of our future newsletter from› the Atari 8-bit to his PC. He› accomplished this by using U.S.› Copier software on THE ATARI. He› then showed anothe method of› transferring files from the Atari› disk drive to the PC without using an› Atari computer. ›› Al received a CD disk from Sage. › This disk plays on the PC. It was› beautifully done on the history of› the Atari. It even contained all the› Ol'Hackers' newsletters. These› demoes were terrific in showing how› the two computer systems can be› merged. ›› We wish everyone a healthy and a› happy new year. ›› Don't forget your dues for the› millenium!››› BYE FOR NOW,› JACK GEDALIUS›› >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>END<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<›››
