›       ATARI The GAME MACHINE?››         By Carlos Hurtado›››I  work  for a major brokerage firm on›Wall  Street.  In  the  Systems  Dept.›where  I  work, we get together during›lunch  or  during  any  breaks  and my›co-workers   and   myself  are  always›talking  about  any  new software that›has just come out and how great it is.›Or  we  talk  about computer hardware,›etc.  Then  the  question always comes›up, "What did you get?",or, "What type›of  computer do you have?" When I say,›"I  have an Atari!" They then say,"The›Game  Machine?"  At  this point, I let›them have it right between the eyes! I›proceed  to  tell  them  that I can do›everything  they  can,  perhaps a mite›slower,   but   then  I  didn't  spend›$2000.00 or $3000.00 for my ATARI like›they  did!  Nor  do  my  programs cost›$125.00   or   $150.00  each.  As  for›Database  Programs,  there  are  a few›great  P.D.  and  commercial  programs›available  to  me.  Speadsheets, again›some  very  good  ones  are out there.›Business  programs  for small Business›Systems,  there  is a great selection.›This goes from  invoicing to sales and›tax   reports   to  customer  accounts›reports.  Utility programs? Well it so›happens  that one of our very own club›members  has  programmed  a  new  DOS,›called,  "WQNRDos", that can do almost›everything  ATARI 2.5 or SPARTADOS can›do and MORE! My list can go on and on,›but you get the point don't you?››I  brought my whole system to work one›day, and made a small presentation and›people   were   just  stunned  at  its›versatility,  to  think  that  this is›supposed  to be only a GAME MACHINE! I›don't  know about you but I will never›give  up my "GAME MACHINE". As long as›there  is a will, there is way to give›full use to our 8 Bit systems.››This  proves  that  you  don't have to›spend  a  lot of money on a large 'IN'›computer  in  order  to  get your work›done.››Software information:›WQNRDos and Utility Software:››WQNR Software›P.O.
