Memory requirements a. Memory requirements in Windows 95 The Windows 95 version of The F.A. Premier League Stars Demo requires a minimum of 16MB of RAM to run. If there is more memory available, you should experience better game performance in all areas. b. Running the game under stressful Windows 95 conditions At Electronic Arts we strive to bring you the best in graphics, audio and gameplay. We are always pushing the envelope of computer performance. While we have made every effort to ensure that The F.A. Premier League Stars Demo multi-tasks with all Windows 95 applications, we recommend that you shut down other applications and run The F.A. Premier League Stars Demo by itself when possible. 2. Improving game speed (frame-rates, etc.) If you experience slow down ingame turn down the detail levels in the 3d set-up program. This can be achieved by selecting a lower texture detail and turning lightmaps off. This will help the game speed especially if your card has 4mb or less). 3. Keyboard, joystick and mouse functionality You may use either the mouse, joypad or keyboard to navigate the game interface. Click on buttons and icons to select modes and options. The keyboard is also available to enter information or send chat messages when playing other users via modem or network. We highly recommend the use of a good 10-button gamepad for ingame play. To bring up the ingame pause menus you may push ESC, or the START button on the controller. Then navigate using the controller, mouse or keyboard. 4. Additional notes Some cards allow you to automatically generate mipmaps from their properties dialogue - this may cause graphical glitches (NVIDIA) or slowdown(3DFX), if either of these are a problem then turn off automipmapping. (Contact your manufacturer for details.) Some drivers have bugs that can cause corrupt graphics in game - if this occurs then download the latest drivers. Lightmaps (Stadium shadows) can corrupt on RIVA128 chipsets due to a driver error - if this is a problem then disable lightmaps in the 3D set-up program Some graphic corruption occurs, when running the game in software, on VOODOO3, and SAVAGE3D chipsets. It is recommended that you run the game in hardware on these cards.
