About the author

Llamapaedia is written by Greta Stamberg with the assistance of Derek Wilson. Both are veterinary students at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA.

Greta has been fascinated by llamas since she was twelve-years old. She grew up on a sheep farm and, in 1987, persuaded her parents to buy a llama as a pet and sheep guard. The llama must have impressed her parents because they started to breed llamas a few years later.
(This does not mean that you can persuade your parents to buy you a llama!)

We are indebted to Greta for allowing us to provide a link to Llamapaedia.
