Troubleshooting
If you cannot open a file
- Try again after a few minutes. Servers can become overloaded.
- Make sure that the URL was typed correctly.
- If you are using a proxy server, check that it is configured
correctly.
- If other TCP/IP applications, such as e-mail and FTP, are
not working, there might be a problem with your network connection.
- Replace the domain name in the URL with the IP address of
the server. If this works, your DNS (domain name system) server
might not be working.
- If you are using a modem, check that the baud rate is set
to the manufacturer's specification.
For other problems
- See the Support.txt online document for product-support phone numbers. This file is located in the same directory as your Internet Explorer program files.
- If you are trying to connect to the sign-up page for an Internet service provider, contact the service provider's customer support.
