Planner Mode has been designed to enable users to keep a record of long-term and background information in such a way as to be instantly accessible. Information is represented as a series of colour-coded keys which can be easily dragged-and-dropped onto the planner. Users can choose to see a 1,3,4,6 or 12 month view of the planner and to view selected planners in the `background activities' section of the diary. An unlimited number of planners can be set up, each with definable access rights.
