Copying Projects

Jamba's Save As command lets you call the Copy Wizard. The Copy Wizard allows you to copy your applications to any destination available to your system. For example, you could copy a Jamba project to a network address, to floppy disks, or to a CD-burning station.

Jamba automatically creates the following subdirectory structure for your project in the specified destination:

Subdirectory Name File Type
Audio Audio files
Classes Custom object classes
Graphics Graphic files
Java Jamba player and Jamba classes
Text ASCII text files
MYAPP.HTML Your application's . html file
Myapp.jmb Your application's . jmb file
Myapp.jtf Your application's . jtf file

If this file structure already exists in your destination directory, any new Jamba application files copied to the directory will be added to the appropriate subdirectory. Audio files go to the Audio subdirectory, graphic files go to the Graphics subdirectory, and so on.

To copy an application:

1. Open the project.

2. Choose Save As from the File menu.

This displays the Save As dialog box.

3. Choose the Copy Project button.

This invokes the Copy Project wizard, and the Compression Option screen appears:

4. Choose whether you want to copy the project in compressed or uncompressed format.

If you choose to copy the files in compressed format, a decompression utility called DECOMPRS.EXE is included to decompress the files.

5. Click on the Next button.

The Copy Project Destination Path screen appears:

6. Enter the path of where you want to copy the project.

You can use the Browse button to help you search for a destination.

7. Click on the Next button.

The Copy Project confirmation screen appears:

8. Click on the Finish button to copy the project.

The copy process is complete.
