Ahead to Creating Applications that Run Efficiently

Authoring Quickly and Efficiently

The best way to author efficiently is to plan your applications carefully. Storyboard an application first so that you know exactly what kind of content your project requires. As an example, in the long run, your project will go more smoothly if you make up a list of all the graphic, text and audio files that your application uses.

Another way to save yourself some time and energy is to use the templates that come with Jamba. The templates are pages in a . jmb file that already contain partially or completely set up objects. Jamba comes with many different categories of templates that let you quickly create background or standard pages for your applications. Some templates are intended to serve as headers for a Web page while others perform better as footers or content for the mid-section of a Web page. You can use Jamba's Page Wizard (available in the Project menu) to import any one of the template pages into an existing project.

If you find that you have certain objects or practices that you would like to reuse from one application to another, you can also use Jamba's Import Page feature available through the Project menu's Page Wizard. In effect, you are creating your own . jmb file of template pages that you can import into an existing project.
