Layout Menu

Command

Purpose

Button

Align

This option is only available when a group of objects is selected. Displays a cascading menu of commands that aligns the selected objects. When you select a group of objects, by default, the alignment command you choose aligns according to the last selected object.
 
Left
Aligns the left edges of the selected objects.

Right
Aligns the right edges of the selected objects.

Top
Aligns the top edges of the selected objects.

Bottom
Aligns the bottom edges of the selected objects.

Center

This option is only available when one or more objects are selected. Centers the selected items on the page according to the size of the page.
 
Horizontally
Centers the selected objects horizontally on the page.

Vertically
Centers the selected objects vertically on the page.

Make Same

This option is only available when a group of objects is selected. Displays a cascading menu of commands that resizes the selected objects so that they have the same dimensions. When you select a group of objects, by default, the Make Same command you choose works according to the last selected object.
 
Width
Resizes the selected objects to have the same width.

Height
Resizes the selected objects to have the same height.

Size
Resizes the selected objects to have the same width and height.

Layers

This option is only available when a single object is selected. Displays a cascading menu of commands that let you change the layering order of the selected object. The layering order that you specify controls the order in which the objects are created at runtime.

Within Jamba, when you move an item forward in the layering order, it appears in front of objects that are further back in the layering. Important: This visual layering is in effect at runtime except that Graphic objects, non-editable Text objects, and Hotspots can never appear on top of any other kind of object. Example: A Graphic object cannot appear on top of a Radio Button at runtime.

 
Move Forward
Moves the selected objects forward one layer.

Move Backward
Moves the selected objects backward one layer.

Send To Front
Sends the selected object to the front, top-most layer.

Send To Back
Sends the selected object to the back layer.

Show Objects

Toggles between showing or hiding all of the selected object(s) from view. Note: You cannot show or hide the background associated with a standard page with this menu command.

Show/Hide Objects Icon - The icon for toggling the appearance of objects looks like the icon immediately to the right.

View Background Icon - The icon for toggling the appearance of objects looks like the icon immediately to the right.

Grid Settings...

Displays the Grid Options dialog box that allows you to set whether objects conform to an invisible grid when you draw them in the work area. You change the dimensions of the grid cells, disable the grid, or make it invisible.

Width - By default grid cells are 10 pixels wide. Type new numbers to reset the width.

Height - By default grid cells are 10 pixels high. Type new numbers to reset the width.

Snap To Grid - By default the grid is active. To disable it, turn off this option. The icon appears in the ribbon bar like the figure on the right.

Show Grid - By default the grid is visible. It is represented by evenly spaced dots on the background of the work area. To make the grid invisible, turn off this option. The icon appears in the ribbon bar like the figure on the right.
