In order to optimise the running of FlagTower titles the following changes may be required.

DOS

1: Run MEMMAKER
2: Ensure that MSCDEX is loaded before SMARTDRV and that the MSCDX command line has the parameter /M:16
3: Ensure SMARTDRV has the parameter 512 set
4: Ensure CD-ROM caching is ON
5: Running defrag on your hard disk may help performance 


WINDOWS

1: Allocate approximately 20 Mb permanent swap file 
2: 32-bit disc access on
3: 32-bit file access off
4: 128k virtual memory cache size
