New Wolf Tracker Available

     A new version of Yellowstone's Wolf Tracker is now available. A non-profit group from Utah that has held the fund raiser dubbed "Wolfstock" for the past two years, has taken over the publication. It is now a magazine format with a color cover, not just paper stapled together.

     Curt Hawkins is behind the new group, and he is joined by Nathan Varley , as co-editors of the publication which had its first issue dated September/October.

     To subscribe to the new Wolf Tracker you can join the Wolfstock Foundation at a minimum donation of $35.00, or simply subscribe for $14.00. It will be published six times per year, and has stories written by Doug Smith, wolf project leader, and other "insiders" in Yellowstone.

     Proceeds collected by Wolfstock are going to help support the wolf project's goals in Yellowstone including research on the return of wolves to this ecosystem. Their goal is to provide about $300,000.00 per year to the program.

     Another Wolfstock fund raising benefit is scheduled for November 7-8 in Deer Valley, Utah. Funds from this event help pay for interns to work at Yellowstone. The interns are needed to assist in management and research of the wolves since the project staff itself only consists of Smith and his assistant Deb Guernsey.
